No to AI generated "art"

I fear that our generation might have just spent the last decade creating an amazing pool of references for AI peeps to steal from.

No, I'm not against progress. But please bear in mind that this is not just a "medium transition" like the transitional era between traditional animation and 3d animation. This is about being against AI tools and people behind it who've been shamefully stealing other artists's work as a way to train their AIs and replicate specific artists style. They're literally training their AI with our art to compete directly with us in OUR industry/market.

I can see a place in this industry where AI tools can step in and help speeding up tedious technical tasks. Tools that can perhaps serve the artists rather than replacing them and their original work. BUT, CREATIVE work needs no speed up, neither it needs to be replaced by AI prompts or similar. Where's the "creative" at? Do we really want a big chunk of our concept art, illustration and concept design industry to be replaced by millions of AI prompts all sourcing from the same artists gallery? ...
